POST-WORKSHOP UPDATE:  The Redding, CA workshop went off fabulously well last Saturday, November 9th.  People arrived early and left late!  We had a high energy, enthusiastic and very appreciative group.  THANKS!  And a tip of the hat to Jan Hale, event coordinator, Dick Recchia STFF president, and Walt and Sandy Cole.

Workshop Announced for Redding, CA (Filled)!

My new workshop “Problem Solving Techniques for Fly Tying” was announced for the fly tiers at Shasta-Trinity Fly Fishers in Redding, California.  And it filled in 10 days!

The all-day Saturday workshop will be November 9th at the STFF classroom.

Here are links for the two pages of the workshop flyer, so you can get an idea of what we do in these workshops:  flyer front & back.

THANKS to Spirit River, Loon Outdoors and Rivers Wild Flies for coming aboard as workshop sponsors!

If your Oregon / California / Washington fly club would like to schedule one of these events for your fly tiers (at little or no cost to the club) please contact me at

Much to come in mid-November for this site!  For sure, visit then for a great kick-start to your coming fly tying season.

Visitor traffic to Fly Foundry has held up very well over the summer, for example: over 21,000 pages viewed in August.  THANK YOU.
